Call For Papers

The Financial and Economic Review (FER) would like to draw the attention of prospective authors that it continues to welcome papers to be submitted in English (and Hungarian).

The FER is a social science journal with more than a decade history, edited and published quarterly by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank in Hungarian and English.

Our journal endeavours for continuous renewal and high-quality contents. We would point out, however, that FER awaits papers dealing with social sciences, and in particular economics, finance, management and organisation science as well as their border areas, submitted exclusively for first publication.

In line with its publishing policy, the ambition of FER is to provide the world with an accurate picture of Hungary and the narrower region. For this reason, FER, as an authoritative scientific journal, has set itself the objective to access a growing range of readers and to achieve that the papers published in our journal are cited worldwide.  Furthermore, we ensure that the scientific results published in FER are increasingly taken advantage of and fully contribute to the development of the constantly changing and expanding science of economics and finance.

We await papers that intend to examine economic, financial and social phenomena by adopting a complex approach, with due consideration given to theoretical, economic historical and statistical methods.

In addition, we welcome book reviews, essays written with scientific rigour, and conference reports.

Important submission deadlines taking into account the publication schedule below:

• 17 June 2024 (publication in September 2024)
• 16 September 2024 (publication in December 2024)
